June 22nd, 2009 - Tyler

Jessica held a Session One on June 22nd, 2009 at Becker Elementary.  We read a story called Before You Were Mine by Maribeth Boelts and met a shelter dog, Tyler.  In this session the kids also created a recommendation for Tyler using Microsoft Word.  They also learned how to change font sizes, styles and colors in their recommendations. The overall lesson for this session was how to properly tread dogs and other pets.
See below for the recommendations the kids wrote for Tyler.

Today I met a dog name Tyler. He is a very obedient dog. He has his shots and is neutered. He is a very shy dog. He does not bite or bark. He likes to walk in parks. I think you should buy this dog because he is very smart and friendly. Another reason you should buy this dog is because he would not run away. That is why you should buy Tyler

Tyler is very obedient.  Tyler is very calm because he did not bark.  At  the  s.p.c.a.  shelter  it gives  them shot s  for  no rabies .  What I like about  Tyler  is that he doesn’t bark.  And he  does  not have  ticks.  When kids touch  him he doesn’t  bite.  And  he  is very  friendly.
