Today our group had the opportunity to spend some time with Bandit's sister, Angel. The students completed their Microsoft Excel documents listing pet ownership expenses, and were suprised to learn that the cost of dog ownership is about $1000/yr! They were then introduced to Microsoft PowerPoint and created their own presentations about what they felt was the most important thing they had learned during our Humane Education group. Some presentations included the importance of spaying/neutering, the cost of pet ownership, and the reasons that dogs end up at shelters.
