BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors is comprised of dedicated professionals with a diverse set of talents who serve in a voluntary capacity with a hands-on approach to overseeing shelter strategies and policy. Board members are actively involved in fundraising, special events, marketing, facilities management/improvement, fiscal management, oversight of shelter operations and staff, and are committed to the mission of Finding Forever Families for the dogs and cats in the care of the CTSPCA. MICHELLE ZOELLER

President

Having previously served on the Board of Directors (2009-2015) as President (2013-2014) and as Advocate (2016-2022), Michelle has been actively volunteering with the CTSPCA since 1997. She serves as a lead orientation trainer for new volunteers and enjoys talking with people about how the shelter is truly a labor of love. Michelle co-chairs the Operations Committee, chairs the Long-Range Planning Committee, and helps wherever needed for the shelter but especially enjoys mowing the grounds when she’s not playing with the cats and dogs. With a degree in Business and paralegal certification, she has worked in the legal field for over 35 years. She is currently the Office Manager at a small law firm in Austin that focuses on health care law. Michelle and her husband, Jerry, have a daughter who is an elementary school teacher and three young, joyful and energetic grandchildren, as well as a lab rescue, Sadie, and CTSPCA shelter rescue Cooper (f/k/a Porter). Heather Gandy

Immediate Past President

In addition to serving her 7th year on the CTSPCA Board of Directors where she is the Operations & Communications Co-Chair, Heather Gandy is the Vice President of Content & Production Experience at a global education technology company. She is a versatile and passionate leader with a broad range of experience in equity, management, business analysis, application and robotics process automation development, copyright and permissions, and process re-engineering that generates revenue and mitigates risk. At home, she is the mother of an 12-year old, 16, 2, and 1-year old rescue cats, and a fat-tailed leopard gecko.

ALISAND ROBINSON

Vice President

Alisand has been an active volunteer at the shelter since 1998, previously serving on the Board of Directors. She oversees adoption days and special events, as well as helping hands-on at the shelter in a variety of capacities.  As a dog foster parent herself, she is currently working on growing and maintaining the shelter’s foster program.  Alisand is an employee of Round Rock ISD.  She has a degree in Rehabilitation and Education and serves as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist, whom works with Visually Impaired, Blind and Deaf Blind children and young adults, ages 0 to 22 years.  Alisand has three rescue dogs and a young daughter, whom is also an active volunteer with the shelter.  She enjoys reading, hiking and canoeing.

MIKE BAKER

Secretary

Mike is Vice President of Digital Experience Development & Strategy at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He serves on the Central Texas SPCA Board as Secretary with a focus on Technology and Operations.

DIANNA KNOTHE

Treasurer

Dianna moved to Leander a few years ago to be closer to her family. She has an MBA from Arizona State University and currently works for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), a nonprofit public utility serving Central Texans. Dianna actively supports the shelter with a focus on caring for the shelter cats, furthering community relations and chairing the Fundraising Committee. She also currently serves as our liaison with the Leander Chamber of Commerce.

JEANETTE CACCIOLA

Director

Jeanette Cacciola starting volunteering at CTSPCA in 2001.  She's served as President, VP and Secretary during two previous board terms.  Jeanette has a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from St. Mary's University and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources employed by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a global educational technology company, as a Vice President of HR.   She and her husband are long-time residents of Central Texas.  At the present time, they have three rescued cats and a Ball Python.  In her spare time, Jeanette is involved in community cat Trap-Neuter-Return and cares for three colonies of community cats.  Her hobbies include travel and nature photography.

VICKI LIEBERMAN

Director

Vicki has been a board member since 2017, having previously served as Treasurer. She has been an active volunteer at the shelter for several years, and serves on the Finance Committee. She also oversees offsite adoption day and special events. She and her husband are the proud parents of 4-legged “kids” including Bentley, adopted from CTSPCA in 2021.

MICHAEL BERIS

Director

Michael joined the Board in 2020. He and his family are active volunteers at the shelter. In addition to lending his technology skills to help the CTSPCA, Michael uses his photography talents by taking beautiful pictures of the cats, dogs, and various fundraising events.

BRAD BOLNO

Director

A Senior IT Leader by day, Brad moved to the Austin area from Philadelphia for his career in 2014 and became a Leander resident in 2015. Brad’s career in IT has been dedicated to helping people. From his focus on the classroom with Apple, Inc. in K12 Education or later leveraging Watson AI at IBM to attempt to fix the problems raised by increasing student-teacher ratios through leading global IT teams at IBM and Cisco to ensure employees are supported and successful and not hindered by IT and technical challenges.  Through volunteerism, Brad has shared his passion supporting the LGBT+ community as a board member (retired) with the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund and local chair for LGBT+ employee resource organizations at both IBM and currently Cisco. Equal to his passion for human rights, is his love for animals. Brad has proudly volunteered at the Central Texas SPCA for over 5 years performing various tasks including orientation trainer, assisting at fundraising events and recipient of puppy kisses and kitty snuggles. Aside from work and volunteerism, Brad and his partner Adam (also a Central Texas SPCA volunteer) share a love of animals, gardening, travel and cooking.

 

Central Texas SPCA Advocates

CTSPCA Advocates are individuals selected and recognized by the Board of Directors for distinguished service and/or commitment to the CTSPCA.  Advocates serve in one or more areas outlined by the Board of Directors that benefit the CTSPCA by helping to raise awareness of the needs, mission and purpose of the organization.  Advocates report to the Board of Directors on a regular basis but do not vote or hold an office of the CTSPCA.
