CTSPCA Launches Capital Campaign to Build New Facility

Leander, TX – December 1, 2021 – The Central Texas SPCA has launched efforts to raise $1.5 million to build a new facility on their existing 2-acre property in Leander, Texas.  The group has already raised $966,000.  The design, by Shelter Planners of America, maintains the home-like environment the shelter has been known for and will incorporate modern touches, improved accessibility throughout the building, expand the comfort and safety of the animals, enhance visitor experiences, and provide community outreach and training spaces.  For more information visit https://www.BuildCTSPCA.org/ or donate to the Capital Campaign.

Since 1988, the Central Texas SPCA has rescued cats and dogs, many from over-crowded public shelters where they faced euthanasia.  Once at the Central Texas SPCA, animals receive one-to-one care and attention by dedicated staff and volunteers, are evaluated by a vet to ensure overall health, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.  Through the shelter’s adoption program, the cats and dogs are carefully placed in loving forever homes.
